Pilates Instructor

Nina Crawford

Pilates Instructor, Nina Crawford, moved to Charlottesville in 1989 from New York. She began her study of Pilates in 2004 and at age 50 she became a certified Power Pilates instructor. 

As a child, Nina grew up in the Pilates world. She draws inspiration from her mother who took classes directly from Joseph Pilates. Photos of Joseph Pilates workshops feature Nina’s mother in them - what a small world!

Nina’s teaching is intuitive and laser focused, blending classical Pilates with a more modern approach. Nina’s classes bring results to those who want a great workout but are also supportive to those who may need accommodations for an injury or physical challenge. Her quick wit and personality make her classes fun and lively.

Outside of the studio, Nina has owned a successful interior design business since 1995. She is well-known in the local design community for her discerning and creative vision. She is also an avid traveler with an appreciation for fine wine, diverse cultures, and building new friendships.
