Southern Portugal, This Fall
Imagine eleven sun-drenched days along Portugal's southern edge — from the quiet beaches of Comporta down to the Algarve cliffs, inland through the Alentejo, and finishing in Lisbon.
What we’ll do: Horseback ride on wide-open beaches, take a private boat into ancient sea caves, visit a cork factory, and try our hands at painting azulejos in Azeitão. There's wine tasting at Portugal's oldest family-run winery, touring the medieval streets of Évora, an evening of enchanting Fado, a visit to Sintra’s fairytale palace — and the unscripted moments that only happen when like-minded women travel together.
Where we’ll stay: At Quinta da Comporta among the rice paddies, oceanfront at Vilalara on the Algarve, in a restored convent in Évora, and at the Bairro Alto Hotel in Lisbon. All four are five-star properties, and no two are alike.
