Packing for Morocco

Marrakesh Weather:
Late March in Marrakesh is generally comfortable and mild with warm days and cool nights. The daytime temps range from 68-77 °F. Evenings are much cooler because the desert doesn’t retain heat well after sunset, around 50-57 °F, so definitely bring a light jacket or sweater. March has limited rainfall but bring a light raincoat to be on the safe side.
Fez Weather:
Fez is about 5 hours North of Marrakesh by car and is a bit cooler. Daytime temps range from 64-70 °F and nighttime lows can be quite chilly, around 46-50 °F. Fez gets a tad bit more rain than Marrakesh but still only 7-10 days per month and mostly light to moderate showers. Again bring a light raincoat just in case.
Chefchaouen Weather:
Chefchaouen will be similar to Fez, possibly a few degrees cooler

When travelling to Morocco, pack loose, breathable clothing like linen and cotton (think Frank & Eileen) that covers shoulders and knees for modesty, especially in religious areas, plus layers (scarves, light jacket) for temperature changes and cooler evenings. Bring comfortable walking shoes for the medina and nice sandals for dinners. Dinners will be dressyish so skirts, dresses, or nice pants and a top are perfect. Bring a bathing suit for sure as The Selman has beautiful pools and all three properties have spas. Below is a suggested packing list. Some of the items, like kimonos and kaftans, might be fun trip purchases. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Morocco uses the same voltage and plug as Europe so be sure to bring several European adapters. Here is the one I suggest.
Hairdryers will be provided by the hotels. However, if you want to bring a hair tool it will need to be dual voltage with a European plug. I recommend this one.
If your personal items are in your carry-on luggage, they need to be in 3.4oz/100ml containers inside a 1-quart size clear bag. Exemptions include liquid medications. Read here for more details.
Remember to bring enough prescription medications and/or vitamins to last for the entirety of your trip. I like this color-coded pill box.
Pack ear plugs, an eye mask, and a neck pillow in your carry-on for the plane. I also recommend a cozy pair of socks if you aren’t wearing any already to keep your feet warm and comfortable.
Melatonin or Good Day sleep chocolates can be helpful for sleeping on the plane and after arrival.
Jet Zone can help mitigate the effects of jet lag.
Good Day energy chocolates and peppermint essential oil can help you stay awake after you land.
